The idea started with a simple question: is there a free, honest tool that analyzes facial aesthetics using real science, without harvesting your photos? Most apps out there either require you to create an account, upload your images to their servers, or hide behind a paywall. That felt wrong.
We believed that anyone should be able to explore the mathematics of facial beauty: the Golden Ratio, bilateral symmetry, feature harmony. All of it privately, instantly, and for free. So we built Beauty Scanner, a tool that runs entirely in your browser, never touches a server, and gives you a detailed, science-based report in seconds.
It started as a personal project. We kept refining it, improving the AI model accuracy, expanding the analysis categories, and polishing the experience. What you see today is the result of that work. And we’re just getting started.
Your photos never leave your device. All analysis runs locally in your browser using WebGL. We don’t store, transmit, or access your images. Period.

Alex is an independent developer with a passion for computer vision, AI, and human-centered design. With a background spanning web development and machine learning, Alex built Beauty Scanner from the ground up: from the facial landmark detection model to the scoring algorithm and the interface you see today.
The goal was never to create a perfect beauty judge. It was to build a transparent, privacy-respecting tool that lets people explore the fascinating geometry of the human face, freely and without compromise.
We continuously work on improving model accuracy, expanding analysis features, and refining the user experience based on real feedback.
